The Advanced Placement (AP) is a program created by the College Board, the same entity that governs the SAT, that offers college-level curriculum and examinations to high school students. American colleges and universities often grant placement and course credit to students who obtain high scores, above a certain threshold, on the examinations, which are administered each May.
Our Lady of Lourdes Academy currently offers 21 AP courses to its student; these are:
All students enrolled and completing an AP course are required to take the AP examination given in May. Students must register for this exam through the Guidance Department. AP exam fees are paid by the student at the time of registration.
The success of the AP Program, at Our Lady of Lourdes Academy, with a pass rate (3+) significantly above the global average, is evidence of the foundation the school’s curriculum offers its students. The graph below shows seven years of data at the school, compared to state and global levels:
