Full-time Custodian
Our Lady of Lourdes Academy, an all-girl, archdiocesan high school, in South Miami-Dade, is accepting applications for a qualified full-time custodian. This candidate must have relevant training as a custodian, be familiar with the routines of cleaning and maintenance of buildings, furniture, and grounds keeping; he/she must be aware of OSHA requirements, appropriate tools, and cleaning machines, and performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Archdiocese of Miami.
Schedule:  6:30 am to 3:00 pm, Full-Time, 12-month employee

Qualifications:

  • Commercial cleaning experience.
  • Ability to carry up to 50 pounds, to move boxes, materials, equipment, and furniture as needed.
  • Good English-language communication skills.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in custodial work.
  • Good time management, excellent work ethics, and ability to work independently, and flexible schedule during peak activities.
  • Must be safety conscious and able to perform all work while maintaining a safe, clean work area and tools, and report any hazards to supervisor.
  • Able to adapt effectively when experiencing changes in the work environment, culture, technology, duties and tasks, requirements, and structures.
  • May be able to work outdoors when required, in hot and humid environment.
  • Must have knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church and parish structures.
