Dear Students,

As I begin my second year as Assistant Principal for Student Affairs at Our Lady of Lourdes Academy, I cannot help but feel honored, privileged and thankful to be part of such a special and vibrant school community. OLLA has always held to its mission of “educating young women to face the future, strengthened by their faith and prepared and confident in their abilities.” This mission is of utmost relevance as we reflect on the numerous, immense challenges our students will face throughout their lives.

We, as a school, are dedicated to cultivating each student’s personal talents, all the while creating her intellectual curiosity and academic preparedness.  We encourage all students to take advantage of the many clubs, performances, service activities and athletic events our school has to offer.  It is only through active, balanced participation in both curricular and extracurriculars  that students will gain the most from their high school experience.

This being said, a complete and well-rounded education is only feasible with the support and cooperation of our students’ families.  It is important  parents and students are aware of the rules and regulations outlined in the Student/Parent Handbook, available in PlusPortals.  These rules have been established with the purpose of creating a school environment that fosters academic excellence, while promoting positive interpersonal relationships.

I look forward to supporting each student in achieving her goals and sustaining a lasting sisterhood and legacy – one I am proud to be a part of and serve.  Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let me know.  I can be reached at aprado@bobcats.olla.org or at (305) 667-1623, ext. 214.
