I always receive requests for donations, and OCCASIONALLY invitations to alumnae masses, but never in almost 30 years (Good God! Has it been 30 years???? I'm not old enough!) have I ever received a notice or invitation to a Class of '79 event. Has there ever been any? Are any of us still around? You remember, don't you? (I sure don't). We were the smallest graduating class that I know of from Lourdes. We had 120 graduates. I barely remember much of my 4 years there, but I do remember some of you were kind to me. I remember (vaguely) Spirit Days, I remember the streaker during one of the PE Classes. We heard the commotion and tried to run to the windows, but too late. Oh well. I remember some of our teachers' faces, but not always the names. I DO, however, remember Mrs. Corrrrrrripio from Algebra. I also remember thinking that "substraction" must have been an algebraic term! I remember Beanie Week and all the socks. That was fun. But I remember very little else - and haven't remembered since graduation, actually. So Elena Torres, Susan Bebber, and a few other girls who were so kind to me, I would love to hear from you. And anyone else who remembers me kindly, I would love to hear from you also. Next year. 30 years. Again, I am WAY too young to be that old. |
